Connect: Checking In With My Feelings
Sit or stand in a steady, comfortable position. Hands in lap, by your sides, or hand on heart or belly. Eyes closed or gazing down. Take a few slow and steady breaths. Ask yourself what emotions you are feeling right now.
More than one emotion may be noticed (lonely and angry, embarrassed and frustrated, sad and happy, nervous and excited). It is normal. Try not to worry about what is causing your feelings - right now just notice them.
How is your body responding to these feelings? (Tight fists when angry, fluttering stomach when nervous, eyes watery when sad).
