PES: Letter from Mr. Spedafino
Dear Pawling Elementary School Families,
I am deeply honored to join this wonderful school community as your new principal, and I look forward to partnering with you to support our students. Education has always been a central part of my life. My mother is a fourth-grade teacher, and my father is a retired school administrator. Watching their lifelong dedication to students inspired me to become an educator and deeply shaped the leader I strive to be today.
I believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported, challenged, and valued. By working closely with you, maintaining open communication, and keeping our students at the center of every decision, we will continue to provide an outstanding educational experience for every child at PES.
As I begin my time at Pawling, my top priority is getting to know our community. I am eager to learn about the traditions and values that make Pawling Elementary such a special place. Over the summer, I would love the opportunity to connect with our PES families. Whether you want to introduce your child, share your experiences, or just say hello, please feel free to reach out via email. I look forward to listening, learning, and building strong relationships before the school year begins.
I live nearby in Brewster with my wife, Diana, our three children (Aubrey, Kaylee, and Dominic), and our dog, Bella. Outside of school, I am usually spending time with my family or cheering on the Yankees, Giants, and Knicks. I am incredibly excited to meet you and your children in the coming weeks and months.
Have a great summer!
Sincerely,
Robert Spedafino
